I am working on a retained search to identify a Senior Project Manager for a European market leader, delivering technology-enabled transformation and innovation in the public and private sectors. Based on current demand within the business and their focus on new opportunities on the horizon, they are looking to recruit an ambitious, talented professional to join PPM Centre of Excellence.

*Promote and encourage programme and project management best practice
*Promote and implement financial management controls
*Active management of internal and external stakeholders

*Our clients are located across the UK. As such Candidates must be willing to travel and work away from home when required (primary locations are London/ South East/ M4 Corridor)

*Experience at a senior level in the successful delivery and assurance of large scale and complex Projects, and related training, qualifications and certifications
*Previous exposure in a Central Government/Local Government/Regional Government environment would be beneficial
*Extensive experience in PPM delivery
*Extensive knowledge and experience using change management methods
*Advanced skills in PPM methods and tools
*Experience working in a consultancy or service focused organisation
*The candidate will have experience managing senior executive stakeholders
*The candidate will have experience of line managing a team
*Security Clearance (SC) would be beneficial
Projects and Programmes are wide and varied, so the ideal candidate will have a breath of experience including digital transformation, agile delivery, building DevOps environments, infrastructure etc. People with varied experience also tend to be more versatile and adaptable to change, which is important in this role.
As well as externally facing client projects, the business itself is undergoing a large scale transformation, so there is a lot of movement in the business, switching and changing direction. This role requires someone who can deliver to their clients and insulate their projects from these changes. This is a dual role, at the core the ability to deliver projects in a structured, sound and successful way - also supporting internal transformation/ part of a team delivering strategic internal initiatives, so a real opportunity shape the business moving forwards, therefore, experience of managing change/ transformation projects is highly desirable
This role will be challenging, yet very rewarding. Individuals are very valued and encouraged to bring new ideas to help shape and ultimately grow the business.
